The Power Penguins with Milly Upton – Commotion in the Ocean (Surfers Against Sewage).
At Somersault Festival during Summer 2015, London based artist, Milly Upton held a songwriting workshop with the children attendees of the festival who visited the Surfers Against Sewage (SAS) tent at the festival. The workshop, over 2 days, was such a success that the resulting song about Marine Litter was performed by the newly named The Power Penguins on the SAS stage before the main act on the Saturday evening. It was such an excellent experience for the children involved that SAS and Indie Kitchen decided to release “Commotion in the Ocean” as a single in aid of the charity. It was recorded at the world famous Monnow Valley Studios, Rockfield, Wales on Friday 13th November 2015. The recording session, which will be filmed, is an amazing opportunity for the children to sing in a studio famous for it’s previous clients such as Led Zeppelin, Queen, Oasis and Stereophonics.
